John G. Betz
Partner - Marine and Cargo

John is a Partner in our Marine and Cargo team, based in New York, US. John focuses on Blue and Brown Water Hull, P&I, War, LOH and other Marine associated risks.
Most recently, John was Senior Vice President for JLT Specialty leading the Blue and Brown Water practice. Prior to this, John was Area President for the Arthur J. Gallagher Marine Division.
John has over 40 years’ experience as a Marine insurance brokerage professional, including extensive experience in claims handling.
John was the founding partner of B&P International, and served as President from 1987 to 2004, where – under his leadership – B&P grew to become an internationally recognized brokerage and adjusting firm.
If John was not working for McGill and Partners, he would be surfing and skiing, chasing the sun and snow.
