James Defty
Head of Casualty

James is Head of Casualty in our Complex Property, Casualty and Construction team.
James joined the insurance industry in 2001 and, after a brief stint in the Cargo market, went on to gain more than eighteen years’ experience in the International Casualty market. His focus continues to be in territories such as Canada, Latin America, South Africa, and Australia, specialising in the Public Sector, Mining, Power and Utilities and Heavy Industry sectors.
If he wasn’t working with McGill and Partners, James would probablybe playing cricket.
