Simon R. Low
Partner - Political Risk and Credit Solutions

Simon is a Partner in our Financial Lines team, specialising in political risk and credit solutions. He is responsible for placing and structuring insurance solutions for banks, corporations and institutions, conducting business overseas from their domicile.
Simon has been a Lloyd’s underwriter for over 35 years, culminating in being a Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Specialty. He was a lead underwriter for several years in the Political Risk and Structured Trade Credit lines of business, whilst also overseeing many Crisis Management lines of business, under his responsibility. Most recently, Simon has been an Expert Witness in a number of large claims and provided consultancy services for major loss adjustors and insurance carriers. The challenge of providing an expert service to a new insurance broker within the political risk and credit space has been an exciting prospect, whilst working with a number of senior experts to bring a combined service to our clients in aid of providing the best risk mitigation for their exposures.
If Simon was not working for McGill and Partners, he would be standing in a river, fishing for salmon and providing ghillie services in remote locations around the world.
