Amy Thurling
Associate - Marine

Amy is an Associate in our Marine team, working closely with clients and underwriters to provide full operational support in pre and post-placement activities.
Amy started in the London Marine Insurance market in the 2015, straight from college at the age of 18, staring out as a Business Support Analyst at Ascot, she then joined MS Amlin under the Lead Yacht team in 2016 and was an Underwriting Assistant for 2 years and 9 months. She was then approached by Gallagher and moved over to the broking side to become an Account Executive in 2019, working in the Yacht team, after 2 years 7 months there, she moved to Lochain Patrick, where she was a Marine Technician for 3 years before leaving to join McGill and Partners in March 2025. Amy has worn a few hats in her time in the market and has handled a number of large complex accounts, supporting both Underwriters and Brokers.
If Amy wasn’t working at McGill and Partners, she would be a Tattoo Artist or Zoo Keeper.
