| Matthew is a Partner in the Property, Casualty & Construction Team who has the primary focus of providing the team with his technical skills in the review, research, governance, advice and construction of Policy Documents. |
| Matthew is an Attorney that practised as such in the South African legal sector for almost 10 years where he placed a focus on general litigation, commercial law and specialised in intellectual property law. He then decided to make a move into the UK market by providing in-house services and joined Markel International as a claims negotiator with a focus on legal expenses insurance. After his time at Markel International he joined Browne Jacobson LLP and was placed on secondment to assist Hiscox with their Covid-19 business interruption claims during the Covid-19 pandemic. Matthew then decided to move away from claims to focus on Wordings and spent some time with HDI Specialty SE as a Wordings Specialist, where he joined their delegated authority team. Here he applied his legal skills to the review, drafting and provision of wordings advice on multiple classes of business within the US and UK market. In order to expand his skills as a Wordings Specialist and before joining McGill & Partners, Matthew was a member of the Wordings team at Arch Insurance where he again applied his legal and Wording Specialist skills on multiple classes of business provided by Arch Insurance. |
